People Magazine is reporting that Morgan Freeman, who will be in surgery today or tomorrow for his injuries, is in good spirits and is expected to make a full recovery.

His rep, Donna Lee released the following statement,

He is going to have surgery this afternoon or tomorrow to correct the damage. He says he’ll be okay and is looking forward to a full recovery.

Update: Freeman’s surgery to repair damage and reconnect nerves on his arm went without a hitch, and he is currently recovering and visiting with his family.
