Today was the first day of Britney Spears’ driving without a license trial in Van Nuys, CA.

Britney was arrested last year after presenting cops with a Louisiana state license instead of a California one.  Her lawyer Michael Flanagan told the court that Britney was planning on moving back to Louisiana, and is actually building a home there now, hence the reason why she did not have a California license.

If convicted, Brit may have to go to jail for 6 months and pay a $1,000 fine.  I’m sure if she goes to jail, she’ll only be there for about 17 hours, you know, because of those overcrowded conditions.
