Feeling a little buried in the Madonna/Guy Ritchie news bomb, David “The Sex Addict” Duchovny and his wife Tea Leoni have just released a statement of their own, confirming that they have been separated for months. The statement read,

In light of continuous speculation over the lives and marriage of Tea Leoni and David Duchovny, the couple has confirmed that they have in fact been separated for several months. The couple had hoped to keep this separation private for the sake of their children.

But now that no one cares anymore (in light of Madonna’s recent news), they’ve decided to go public. Screw the kids (not literally).

Update: Gasp!  The Daily Mail has just reported that the split was actually due to TEA LEONI’s cheating.  The Mail is saying that Tea was getting it on with Billy Bob Thornton, and Duchovny found explicit texts between the two.  Ooo, who needs rehab now!?!
