Star Magazine seems to think that Jake Gyllenhaal recently gave Reese Witherspoon that ole preliminary ball and chain.  They have a few sources that claim to have spotted Reese wearing a huge diamond ring on that particular finger upon arrival at an Avon commercial shoot.

Reese reportedly took the ring off soon after people noticed, and put the thing in her bag.  One source says,

It was gorgeous, and everyone noticed it right away, but she took it off as soon as she saw people staring. Reese stuffed it in her bag and didn’t put it on again the rest of the day.

There was already word out that she and Jake had gotten engaged, so the ring absolutely confirmed everybody’s suspicions.

She’s probably just playing with everyone’s heads.  Reese recently described her divorce to Ryan Phillippe as “very humiliating and very isolating”.  That marriage also left her with two little snot dispensers which some people like to call “kids”.  Doesn’t sound like much fun to do over again.
