The New York Post is reporting that while they were dating, in order to get Jessica Simpson to shut that big mouth of hers, John Mayer would tell her that her “spiritual side” was so much better.

A source says that the conditioning actually worked, and Jessica eventually started saying, “I’m working on being more spiritual”, before expressing it by sitting quietly.
