Elizabeth Edwards’ new book, Resilience comes out on May 12, but it seems the NY Daily News has already gotten their hands on some excerpts from John Edwards’ cancer stricken wife’s upcoming autobiography. In the leaked pages, Elizabeth goes into detail about learning of her husband’s affair with documentary filmmaker slut, Rielle Hunter. Elizabeth writes,

I cried and screamed, I went to the bathroom and threw up.

Elizabeth, who is terminally ill with cancer, says that she begged John to drop out of the presidential race after hearing of his affair. John refused to give up his bid for presidency, and even though she objected, Elizabeth publicly stood by his side.

About a year after John spilled about the affair to his wife, the National Enquirer picked up on the story and went public with it, exposing details and accusing John of possibly being the father of Rielle’s baby daughter. Elizabeth claims that John never clued her in on the specifics about his relationship with Rielle, but says that she was under the impression that Rielle was the one who seduced her husband. In her book, Elizabeth calls Rielle “pathetic”. She also says that she has now forgiven John, saying,

I lie in bed, circles under my eyes, my sparse hair sticking in too many directions, and he looks at me as if I am the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. It matters.

Now I know someone ghostwrote that.
