Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart filed a lawsuit against Gawker Media, LLC and journalist Mark Ebner earlier today over that leaked video which showed them having some naked fun with Kari Ann Peniche. Apparently they registered the video with the US Copyright Office, so they’re suing the company for posting the footage on their website.

According to court documents, Mark gave the tape to Gawker, who posted the video on their site about a month later. Eric and Rebecca are accusing Gawker of ignoring a take-down notice which they sent the day that the tape hit the net. They’re asking for compensation for more than $1 million in damages.
