Joe Jackson’s Not Getting Michael’s Money
Joe Jackson, who obviously doesn’t care much for legal wills, popped up in court today to fight for a share of Michael’s money. Unfortunately, the judge shot him down, saying that he had no legal standing to claim any money.
During the hearing, Joe’s lawyer challenged the validity of the will, and objected to the fact that John Branca and John McClain had been named executors of the estate. The lawyer also claimed that his client would be filing a creditor’s claim against the estate if he did not receive his allowance. He insisted that Joe had a contract to receive money from his son, and that the estate was breaching their contract by refusing to make the payments.
The judge denied all of Joe’s lawyer’s claims, paving the way to formally appoint John Branca and John McClain as co-executors of the estate.
