Nicole Richie was granted a permanent restraining order in court today against two members of the paparazzi who hit her car a few weeks ago.

Joel Madden, who was in court to testify against the photographers, reported that Nicole was “hysterical” after the crash which landed her in the hospital.

The judge in the case granted Nicole the restraining order, which will require the paps to stay at least 50 yards away from Nicole until the year 2012.
