Amy Winehouse Pleads Guilty To Pantomime Assault, Blames Vodka And Coke
Amy Winehouse pleaded guilty in court today to common assault and public order charges relating to an incident last month, where she assaulted a group of pantomimes and attacked a theater manager in front of several young children who were enjoying a performance of Cinderella.
She told the judge during today’s hearing that she had drunk five vodka and Cokes prior to the show, and that she felt “embarrassed and patronized” when the theater manager, Richard Pound asked her to leave after she yelled obscenities at the mimes.
Amy was given a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 in costs and £100 in compensation to Richard Pound. If she commits any further crimes over the next two years, she’ll be re-sentenced for the incident.
