According to his illegitimate daughter LaRhonda Pettit, James Brown’s body has just pulled some sort of magic trick and disappeared from the South Carolina home of his other daughter Deanna. James, who died on Christmas Day in 2006, was supposed to be held there while a mausoleum was being prepared, but LaRhonda is convinced that someone is hiding the body to prevent an autopsy from being done on it because he was really killed by greedy people who wanted his money. LaRhonda told reporters today,

My daddy’s body has disappeared. I have no clue where it was taken, but I need to know where. I’m convinced his death was suspicious and I want the people responsible brought to justice. The only way to do that is to exhume his body and have an autopsy. I cannot understand why one was never conducted.

It was common knowledge that my daddy took illegal drugs. He was also hooked on various prescription painkillers. At the very least there were enablers who helped cause his death.

Apparently, LaRhonda is one of about a dozen people claiming to be James’ children. According to her, a DNA test proved her to be 99.9% his, but she was not included in his will.

Update: According to the lawyer of James’ 5 legitimate children, James is not missing from his crypt in South Carolina.
