Jesse James has just issued a statement, apologizing to his wife Sandra Bullock and his three children for his actions over the past year. Although he never directly admits to cheating on Sandra with tattoo model, Michelle “Bombshell” McGee, he does blame himself for something - we’re just not sure what.
His vague statement reads:
The vast majority of the allegations reported are untrue and unfounded. Beyond that, I will not dignify these private matters with any further public comment.
There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me. It’s because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way.
This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them. I am truly very sorry for the grief I have caused them. I hope one day they can find it in their hearts to forgive me.
The executive director of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Bruce Davis has issued an apology to the friends and family members of Farrah Fawcett who were upset to learn that Farrah had been left out of the award show’s “in memoriam” segment. Bruce’s apology read:
There’s nothing you can say to people, particularly to family members, within a day or two of the show that helps at all. They tend to be surprised and hurt, and we understand that and we’re sorry for it.
He added however that since Farrah was better known for her TV work, the Emmys was a more fitting show for her tribute.
Both Naomi Campbell and the limo driver who accused her of attacking him earlier this week have just released individual statements to each other regarding the incident.
In his statement released through his lawyer, driver Miodrag Mejdina claimed that he had overreacted when Naomi hit him from the backseat of his Cadillac Escalade. He also apologized to Naomi for calling the cops.
Naomi also released a statement of her own, accepting Miodrag’s apology, saying,
I have worked very hard on correcting my previous wrongdoings and I will not be held hostage to my past.
I try to treat everyone with respect and I am pleased the driver has apologized. I would like to put the last few days behind me and move on.
Miodrag also said that he does not plan to press charges against Naomi.
Just minutes ago, Tiger Woods finally made his public apology, where he fake-groveled to his wife Elin (who was not present), children, and the general public. During his over-rehearsed speech, Tiger noted that yes, he did have a ridiculous number of affairs, and no, Elin is not a husband abuser. Obviously, Tiger is not an actor.
Tiger will be heading back to rehab tomorrow to continue his treatment for sex addiction.
Tiger Woods’ people are calling fake on the golfer’s public apology that was leaked on the air by a North Carolina radio station earlier today. The statement supposedly read:
Directly to the point there is no one to blame but me for the mess I have put my wife and family through. I accept total and complete responsibility. My wife and I have been trying to work things out but sadly things have not worked out. Again all the blame is upon me. We have decided to live apart with me having mutually agreed upon times when I can be with our children. I know that the world wants all the details of what transpired in our marriage but that is between my wife and I and will remain that way. I have to get on my life and that means playing golf again. I have contacted The Masters and have informed them that my plan is to resume The Masters and they have said that they would welcome me with open arms. For that I am most grateful for I deserve nothing. Finally I want to thank all my fans around the world for standing by me when I let you down horribly. I failed all of you about as badly as a person can. I apologize to everyone of you. I promise all of you that you will see a new Tiger Woods, a better Tiger Woods and I will not let you down. Now I’d like , by the grace of God and with His help, to get back to what I do best and that is playing golf. See you all at The Masters. God Bless you all. Tiger Woods.
Tiger will be making his real apology tomorrow at 8 a.m. PT.
John Mayer’s Playboy interview with the N-word struck more than a few nerves yesterday, so he did what he had to do, and cried during his concert in Nashville last night.
He also claimed that he would do us all a favor and “quit the media game”.
Tiger Woods is having a very bad day. This morning, US Weekly released those sexts and that voicemail that Tiger sent to his mistress, cocktail waitress/Tool Academy star Jaimee Grubbs, forcing him to finally admit his infidelity, and issue a public apology for cheating on his wife Elin.
First things: the texts. Jaimee told US Weekly that Tiger had sent her dozens of messages over the course of their 2-year-long affair. Some of them include, “I will wear you out…when was the last time you got (bleeped)?” and “Send me something very naughty…Go to the bathroom and take (a picture).”
On top of all that, Tiger left Jaimee a voicemail earlier this year (above), where he begged Jaimee to take her name off of her phone because “my wife went though my phone and may be calling you”.
After all of this, Tiger finally released a statement, apologizing for his infidelity. He said,
I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.
Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect.
But no matter how intense curiosity about public figures can be, there is an important and deep principle at stake which is the right to some simple, human measure of privacy. I realize there are some who don’t share my view on that. But for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one’s own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn’t have to mean public confessions.
Whatever regrets I have about letting my family down have been shared with and felt by us alone. I have given this a lot of reflection and thought and I believe that there is a point at which I must stick to that principle even though it’s difficult.
I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology.
Elin and Tiger have two children together, and have been married since 2004.
Oprah Winfrey made a few people angry when her show’s writers failed to do the proper research before they aired their “Women Around the World” interview with a skin care product developer from Dubai named Dr. Lamees Hamdan.
The show described Dubai as a country that provided free water, electricity, and health care to all of its citizens - which is not true. On top of all that, Dr. Hamdan chose to wear a tunic instead of a sheila (their national headdress). Dr. Hamdan then described the decision not to wear the sheila as a cultural choice, rather than a religious one, which enraged many Arab-world viewers.
Lastly, Oprah conducted the interview over Skype, which is banned in the UAE. The show was granted a waiver to the rule.
A spokesman for Oprah released a statement today, apologizing for the upset that they caused, saying,
It was never the intention of the ‘Oprah’ show to misrepresent the people of Dubai. Dr. Hamdan appeared live on our program to speak about her personal life experience as a citizen of Dubai. We apologize if any of our viewers were offended.
Nicole Forrester - that stripper that supposedly did it with Josh Duhamel issued an apology to Fergie via Extra earlier today. Apparently she felt compelled to do so after her own son called her disgusting.
She said during today’s interview that she was sorry for sleeping with Josh, and that she hadn’t completely thought out the consequences of her actions before she did. Nicole said,
I thought, ‘Nobody’s gonna find out. It’s not gonna hurt anybody. I’m sorry that I didn’t think of it at the time like I think of it now. My son, he went to a football game last Saturday and he was like, mom, ‘you’re disgusting. I didn’t know you had sex with him.
Josh has denied all of Nicole’s claims, but Nicole is still insisting that she told the whole truth about the affair. She even claims that Josh still hasn’t stopped texting her.
Nicole told Extra that she’s done with the relationship, and that she even recently quit stripping because it upset her kids.
It looks like the Octomom dating show rumors really got to Jon Gosselin. The famewhore father of eight released the longest statement in the history of Jon Gosselin statements today, claiming that the news reports really made him think about what his recent actions had done to his public image.
Picewell Forbes (AKA - That guy that killed Jon Travolta’s extortion trial), released a statement yesterday, apologizing to the Bahamian people for yelling, “Pleasant Bridgewater is a free woman!” during a political convention recently. His actions caused the judge to declare a mistrial for the case. He said,
I hereby unequivocally and without qualifications offer my apology to Madame Senior Justice Anita Allen, in particular and to the entire judiciary of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. I further offer my unqualified apology to the Bahamian people.
John is now trying to get the trial moved from the Bahamas, to Florida.
According to a rep from The View, Kanye West made a fourth apology to Taylor Swift today after Taylor made an appearance on the show to give her personal account of the VMA incident. This time, the apology was private.
Kanye reportedly called Taylor up on the phone, and gave her his sob story which probably involved a bit about his undoubtedly disappointed late mother, and Taylor accepted the apology. Unfortunately for Kanye, no one will ever think of him as a genius again.
ABC Nightline anchor Terry Moran got in some big journalistic trouble this morning after he tweeted that Barack Obama had called Kanye West a jackass during a CNBC interview. He wrote,
Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a ‘jackass’ for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential
The tweet has since been removed from the site, and ABC issued the following statement apologizing for the incident:
In the process of reporting on remarks by President Obama that were made during a CNBC interview, ABC News employees prematurely tweeted a portion of those remarks that turned out to be from an off-the-record portion of the interview,” ABC said.
That was wrong. We apologize to the White House and CNBC and are taking steps to ensure that it will not happen again.
Kanye West showed up on Jay Leno last night to try his best to act remorseful once again about ruining Taylor Swift’s day at the VMA’s on Sunday night.
We want to know - what’s up with that maze on his head.
