Kid Rock was ordered yesterday to pay $35,000 to three men who he and three members of the Boo-Yaa Tribe picked a fight with outside of a L.A. hotel in 2006.
The men filed the lawsuit last year, demanding $15 million in damages. A jury sided with the plaintiffs yesterday, but Rock was only ordered to pay $35K for all three men to divide amongst themselves. According to TMZ, the men were not awarded attorneys fees, meaning they probably didn’t get to pocket much of anything in the end.
According to E!’s Giuliana Ransic, Sean Penn was spotted punching out his former wife, Robin Wright’s new lover - The Hurt Locker producer, Greg Shapiro at the Governors Ball Oscar after-party yesterday.
Sean was promptly kicked out of the party. No word on whether or not Greg fought back.
Update: According to sources at the Oscars, this fight did not happen, as Sean wasn’t even at the Governors Ball. He did however, bump in to Greg backstage at the awards. It is unclear if the punch happened there.
One of Naomi Campbell’s friends is claiming that the model was just having a bad day when she attacked her limo driver earlier this week, prompting him to call 911 to report her actions.
The friend attributed the incident to the crawling traffic and shot down reports that it had anything to do with the driver refusing to dish the deets on Naomi’s boyfriend, who he had also previously driven. The driver has since dropped all charges.
Because no police officers witnessed Naomi Campbell’s alleged assault on a limo driver yesterday, the Manhattan district attorney is letting her off without a charge.
The 27-year-old driver called 911 after Naomi allegedly rammed his head into the steering wheel from the backseat of his limo while he was driving her to Astoria Studios in Queens.
This incident adds to a long list of violent attacks from the model. She was arrested in 2000 for beating her assistant over the head with a phone, in 2007, she was arrested again for throwing a cell phone at another one of her employees, and in 2008, she was convicted of kicking and spitting on police officers when one of her bags went missing during a flight from Heathrow Airport.
Spice Girl Mel B. is being sued by a real estate appraiser named Amado Aguirre, who alleges that Mel sent her husband Stephen Belafonte and another man after him while he was photographing their house to appraise the neighborhood.
Amado, who apparently didn’t know that the home he was snapping was Mel’s, was taking photos from his vehicle when Stephan and the other employee reached into his car and grabbed his camera. Amado claims that he was seriously injured during the incident. No word yet on how much he wants for his pain.
Naomi Campbell is on the run after beating up a limo driver in New York City today.
The driver called 911 around 3 PM when Naomi allegedly attacked him from the backseat while he was driving her through Manhattan. Naomi then hopped out of the car and ran away. Cops are now searching for her. When asked, her rep insisted that Naomi was planning to turn herself in. She also claimed that there was another side to the story.
Several witnesses watched Danielle Deleasa and her new husband Kevin Jonas break out into a public war at a West Hollywood grocery store on Valentine’s Day earlier this month.
According to sources, the couple began fighting when Danielle started whining about the unromanticness of grocery shopping on Valentine’s Day. While Danielle nagged, onlookers reported seeing Kevin looking uncomfortable and confused.
Jessica Simpson reportedly got herself in the middle of a bar fight during a date in Hollywood the other day, when she started dirty dancing in the VIP section, and caught the eye of some fratboys passing by.
One of the boys reportedly tried to grab her, which pissed off her supposed date. The two got into an expletive-filled fight inside the VIP section. Security was eventually called in to break the pair up. After the incident, Jessica reportedly went back to dancing and flirting with her date.
Nicole Essigmann, better known as Hotlanta from the show Flavor of Love, spoke to TMZ over the weekend to explain the reason for why she was arrested on child cruelty charges last week.
According to Nicole, she attacked her baby daddy Jerry Robinson after he put her mother, Jill Essigmann in a headlock during a visitation with their son. She said,
I did what I had to do … Anybody in my shoes would have done the same thing if they saw their mom in a headlock. I laid the smackdown.
She was supposedly charged with child cruelty because her son witnessed the fight. Both she and her mother were arrested after the incident. The case is currently under investigation.
Travis Barker flipped out at a group of paparazzi who caught him on camera leaving a restaurant with his kids earlier today.
In the video above, several photographers accused Travis of spitting on them, hitting their cameras, stealing a phone, and even slashing their tires.
A vandalism report was taken, but so far, no arrests have been made.
The LAPD and the Los Angeles D.A. recently began feuding over the Dr. Conrad Murray manslaughter case, after the D.A. kept the LAPD in the dark about the charges about to be filed against Dr. Murray.
The LAPD was angry at the D.A because they had spent months preparing the case.
Both sides seemingly came to a resolution yesterday when the D.A.’s office agreed to allow the LAPD to take Dr. Murray into custody, and deliver him to the courthouse to face his arraignment. This morning however, sources said that both sides were still angry at one another over the situation.
Dr. Murray is reportedly expected to be taken in and charged with involuntary manslaughter tomorrow.
WWE wrestlers Chris Jericho and Greg “Hurricane” Helms were both arrested at 5 AM yesterday, after they were found drunk and fighting inside a cab at a Crescent Springs, Kentucky gas station.
They were each booked and released on $120 bond.
Update: According to TMZ, before Helms was arrested, he was spotted hitting Jericho and some other random people inside of the cab. One of the victims was a woman. So far, no one has pressed charges, but a male victim named Gary Kelley is reportedly considering doing so.
Two arrest warrants were issued for comedian Katt Williams recently, in connection with an incident that took place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Atlanta back in November.
Kat is being sought for battery and false imprisonment for punching Merion Powers in the nose while the two were discussing a debt. Merion secretly recorded the incident on his cell phone, and handed it off to police in late December.
Rumor has it that the not-so-bright Merion was actually attempting to extort Katt over a musical recording at the time of the supposed assault.
The Pitkin County Department of Social Services reportedly paid Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller a little visit over the weekend. The house call was supposedly made to check in on the couple’s twin boys to ensure that they were both safe in the home after Charlie allegedly pulled a knife on Brooke during a fight over the Christmas holiday.
According to sources, the DSS interviewed Brooke, her nannies, housekeepers, and others, and finally concluded that the kids were in no apparent danger.
Brooke, who’s currently living in Aspen, is now looking to get her protective order against Charlie dropped so that she can move back in with him in L.A.
Hailey Glassman and Jon Gosselin have now decided to work things out - this according to Hailey’s lawyer, Stephanie Ovadia.
Stephanie has just released a statement saying that the two parties and their lawyers would be sitting down after the holiday to come to a reasonable resolution to the whole break-in fiasco.
Hailey will most likely return the TV and the Wii that she stole from Jon, and in exchange, Jon will not be pressing charges.
