Phil Spector Appeals His Murder Conviction

phil_spector_mugshot_2

Phil Spector’s lawyers have just filed an appeal to have his second-degree murder conviction thrown out on the grounds of judicial error and prosecutorial misconduct.

The 148-paged appeal filing cited a number of reasons why the legal team believed Phil did not have a fair trial. Phil’s attorneys insisted in the documents that their client was, among other things, improperly convicted because of his bad character, after the prosecution was allowed to have a number of women testify about his threatening actions in the past few years.

Phil, who is 70 years old, is currently serving 19 years in prison for murdering actress Lana Clarkson.
