Tiger Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren have issued an apology letter to the parents of the kids at at the Premier Academy in Windermere, Florida, where their 2-year-old daughter Sam attends school. The letter reads:

Dear Premier Academy parents, We would like to share our appreciation for your support over the past several months and offer our personal apology for any inconvenience you are experiencing due to the increased media scrutiny surrounding our children.

We truly understand how frustrating it can be. We hope that the paparazzi will find something better to do with their time in the near future.

In the meantime, it is our goal to keep life as normal as possible for our children. We are sure that as parents you can appreciate that. For Sam, that normalcy means attending the school that she enjoys so much.

Again, we truly appreciate the support from the entire Premier Academy family.

Madonna, who is currently building a school for underprivileged Malawian kids, is reportedly trying to kick 200 Malawian villagers out of their homes to make room for the $15 million establishment.

According to sources, Madonna offered $115,000 to each resident to compensate for their troubles. Unfortunately, the residents, who are happy in their homes, have thus far refused to move. The Associated Press reported today that a government official has now stepped in to legally force the people to go.

During an interview with CNN yesterday, Sean Combs opened up about his latest plans to launch a business school in New York, designed to teach kids how to succeed as leaders. He said,

I want to have an academy that’s known for building leaders. I feel that’s one of the things I can have an impact on.

I want to take on more responsibility. I’m still honestly in search of how I can have the most positive effect that I can have.

Sean started his career out as an intern at a record company, and later moved up to design the Sean John clothing line, and create the TV show Making the Band. He is currently the CEO of Bad Boy Records.

Frances Bean Cobain has started her college search, and according to sources, she’s quite interested in relocating to NYC for her four years of keg parties and personal enlightenment.

Frances, who currently lives in L.A. with mom Courtney Love, has named Bard among the schools that she’s been looking at. Courtney confirmed the speculation, telling reporters at Elton John’s Enduring Vision benefit the other day that Frances was showing interest in leaving L.A., and had already started making a list of her top schools.

When James Franco, who’s currently sleeping through a masters program at Columbia University, was spotted visiting Yale University over the weekend, he told a reporter from the Yale Daily News about his plans to get his Ph.D. James said,

I’m applying to Ph.D. programs next year so I came out to see what the program was like.

He then went on to tell the paper the following little story about an “unpleasant” encounter he had with a fellow Columbia student:

Columbia has a great library, the Butler Library, and I don’t think I can go in there anymore. Because last night I went in, I went into the restroom and this guy was in there and he’s like kind of mumbling like, ‘You’re James Franco, right?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, how’s it going?’ Basically, he didn’t get angry. He said he was annoyed with me that I came to the library and that there are girls in the library. He didn’t express himself. I think what he meant was that he thought I came to the library to meet young girls and he said it wasn’t fair. And I tried to apologize for any disruption my presence had, but he was still annoyed. So I left and I went to the writing building, which is a little more private, but I have to sit there alone in the dark.

Dakota Fanning is one step closer to her dream of morphing into a normal human teenager. According to Radar Online, she was just voted homecoming princess at Campbell Hall Episcopal School - that L.A. private school that she attends whenever she’s not busy doing that acting thing that she does.

Dakota was given the honor during a game on Friday night, where she also showed off her cheerleading skills.

She’ll be back to her regularly scheduled programming later this week for her 15-city New Moon Promo Tour.

Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail and Rubina Ali, two of the formerly homeless Slumdog Millionaire kids are now at risk of losing their filmmaker-provided trust funds, all because neither kid has been to school on a regular basis so far this year.

According to Noshir Dadrawala, the administer for the Jai Ho Trust, Azharuddin has only been present to about a third of his school days so far this year, and Rubina has only popped in for about a quarter. Noshir is blaming the kids’ truancy on their traveling, saying,

They are constantly going to Paris and Cochin and Chennai. That’s fine, but go over the weekend, not at the sacrifice of school.

If Azharuddin and Rubina don’t start attending at least 70% of their school days, the trust will stop making their £100 monthly trust fund payments. In addition, of the kids don’t graduate from high school in a few years, they will lose the lump sum payment that the trust has set aside for them.

When interviewed, Azharuddin’s mother blamed her son’s absences on his father’s death in September. Rubina’s parents have yet to come up with an excuse.

Looks like the Cruises were unable to find a suitable Scientology school in Boston for their spawn. Katie Holmes was spotted in recent weeks, dropping her little alien, Suri Cruise off at the Yawkey Center For Early Education And Learning in Boston, MA. The school is run by the Catholic Charities of Boston.

According to several sources, Katie, who was raised Catholic, wanted Suri to have a similar upbringing. Tom was supposedly be against the idea. No word yet on how Katie was able to win that fight.

Amy Winehouse went back to school recently, but not for no edumacation. She made an appearance at North London’s Southgate middle school yesterday to spit on a kid who was picking on her 13-year-old goddaughter Dionne Bromfield.

Sources say that Amy was spotted showing up at the school, pulling the girl out of a crowd, and spitting on her and insulting her in front of all of her friends. Somebody eventually broke up the fight, and Amy signed a few autographs before going home.

The bully kid should probably get tested for rabies.

Rumor had it last month that Michael Jackson’s mom Katherine was considering sending her three grandchildren Prince, Paris, and Blanket to school, but now it looks like she’s decided against it.

Sources say that the kids will continue to be home-schooled for now, using the same teachers that they had before their dad’s death. To make up for the fact that the kids won’t be normal no matter what she does, Katherine’s planning to make her home more school-like, by renovating her yard to include a small volleyball court and other outdoor playground equipment so that the kids’ curriculum can include gym class.

Emma Watson reportedly showed up at Brown University over the weekend to start her freshman orientation with the rest of her class. According to UK’s OK! Magazine, the Harry Potter actress made her grand entrance by hovering into Rhode Island on a helicopter.

Soon after her ridiculous arrival however, she was able to successfully blend in with the other students. Later in the day, Emma was spotted hanging out and chatting with a small group of starstruck stalkers friends on campus.

Lil’ Wayne recently took some time out to make a PSA for MTV Networks’ Get Schooled campaign - which aims to help improve the American education system.

Wayne started off in the gifted program at his local elementary school, but dropped out at the age of 14. He eventually got his GED, and went on to enroll at the University of Houston as a political science major. He stopped his education at the end of 2007, but has stated that he hopes to finish his degree eventually.

Other celebs involved in the campaign include Vivica A. Fox, Solange Knowles, Sheryl Crow, and Hayden Panettiere.

The couple have been together for almost a year and a half. Last week, Emma confirmed her plans to head to the U.S. for college next year, but she’s reportedly planning on continuing her relationship from a distance.

A source close to Emma told reporters earlier today,

According to student eyewitnesses, Nick Jonas, who graduated from his home school high school last month, was spotted touring Northwestern University in Illinois yesterday afternoon.
