A New York woman named Lastonia Levinston has just filed a lawsuit against 50 Cent, accusing him of releasing her homemade sex tape on his website as a joke last year.
According to the lady, 50 somehow got his hands on a sex tape that she made with a boyfriend in 2008. He then edited himself narrating the action while wearing a wig and a fluffy blue robe, and uploaded it to his website for public ridicule.
No word on how much she wants in damages.
If you’re in the market for a well-planned mugging, 50 Cent might be a decent target. He told Tyra Banks the other day that he carries no less than $25,000 cash on his person at all times, because it makes him feel “like I have money”.
The man who has yet to learn of the existence of charge cards, also said that having the cash on him is convenient for whenever he spontaneously decides to buy stuff.
50 Cent finally settled his lawsuit against Taco Bell out of court yesterday for an undisclosed sum.
The rapper originally sued the chain in July, 2008 for $1 million for using his name in their 79-89-99 Cent Why Pay More ads without his permission. According to him, Taco Bell offered to make a $10,000 donation to his charity of choice if he would agree to change the number in his name for one day as part of a publicity stunt. He was also allegedly asked to rap his order at a drive-thru window using his new name. When he refused, 50 claimed that the company went ahead anyways, and suggested that he was endorsing their chain.
It was not made public how much 50 got from the suit, but according to his lawyer, “both parties are satisfied” with the results.
50 Cent revealed in a recent interview that even he had been hard hit by the recent economic downturn. He told The Telegraph,
The credit crunch has hit rap. I buy diamonds on a very regular basis, but now I am selling my old stuff before I get something new.
These are times when you learn about the value of money.
50 then said a few bragging words about his strong money management skills, and ended the interview by offering his financial advising services to president Obama.
50 Cent recently told the NY Daily News that he’s bored of all the movies at Sundance because they don’t tell the audience that 50 Cent is in da house before each screening that he attends. 50 says,
I like the parties, because it’s something to do different than sitting in the theater seats. After watching five or six movies, people start to feel a little drained.
I’ve seen a few movies, but I got to the premiere, they start announcing all the people who are there, and I’m like ‘What the hell? I’m 50 Cent! I’m here! Tell everyone I’m here.’
Apparently he gets way more attention at the parties.
