Word has it that Jay-Z (real name Shawn Carter) and Beyonce Knowles are making plans to do some name swapping. A source recently told reporters that in order to keep their last names from dying out, Jay-Z and Beyonce are both planning to take on the hyphenated last name, Knowles-Carter.
Beyonce’s parents (who btw are working on getting themselves divorced), did not have any sons to take their name, and the couple have no current plans to have any kids of their own.
Beyonce showed off her badassedness by crowd surfing during her performance of Halo at the O2 Arena in London the other night.

Beyonce, who’s currently performing in England, reportedly has an extra hotel room booked for her luggage.
Sources say that she’s staying in a $4,000 per night room at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester, but she has a cheap $300 room booked for the bags. Witnesses saw four hired minions lugging seven suitcases, three bags, and two boxes up to the room earlier this week.
The bags reportedly held 14 dresses, dozens of pairs of shoes, make-up, and 25 wigs for her concert in Liverpool on Wednesday.
Yesterday, Beyonce finally opened her mouth to let out a few words on that whole Kanye West VMA outburst incident. She told O: The Oprah Magazine,
Well, I knew his intentions, and I knew he was standing up for art; and he told me before, when they said the nominees, he’s like, ‘You have this award. And when they didn’t call my name he was, like, completely shocked. And when he walked on the stage, I was like, ‘No, no, no!’ and then he spoke, and I was like, ‘Oh, no, no, no!’
But in the end, it ended up being a great night, and Taylor Swift did get her moment — and I didn’t have to make an acceptance speech.

A woman named AlexSandra Wright filed a paternity suit in L.A. County Superior Court against Beyonce’s father Mathew Knowles yesterday.
AlexSandra is a 38-year-old aspiring actress with a day job in the name branding business. She’s currently 6 months pregnant with what she claims is Mathew’s baby. Mathew is still married to Beyonce’s mother Tina.
AlexSandra has hired celebrity rep Neal Hersh to handle the media for the case.
Apparently Lindsay Lohan had a bad weekend because she took Beyonce’s dressing room backstage at Singapore’s F1 Rocks, but was told to leave when Beyonce arrived on Saturday.
Lindsay, who was hosting the event, reportedly asked for the biggest dressing room, but was assigned to a smaller one instead. Rather than taking it like a man, she decided to ignore the assignment, and make herself at home in Beyonce’s room. Beyonce later showed up with her 70-man security team to kick Lindsay out. Lindsay was reportedly very upset over the situation, telling reporters,
I’ve been a bit down. It was a strange night. Everyone was being aggressive and bothering me. I really didn’t like it.
Kanye West showed up on Jay Leno last night to try his best to act remorseful once again about ruining Taylor Swift’s day at the VMA’s on Sunday night.

You know it’s bad when even Joe Jackson has some criticisms about your character. The pimpiest of all stage dads joined in on the Kanye West shunning party by releasing a statement today about the Taylor Swift VMA moment. Joe said,
I don’t know what he was doing, he jumped up on stage and snatched that microphone out of that poor girl’s hand. They should blackball him out of show business for that. He just leapt up there, that was bad.
I had just gotten through speaking to him, he was introducing me to his girlfriend, and then three minutes later he jumped up on stage. And people booed Kanye all night.

Kelly Clarkson jumped in on the Kanye West bashfest today by throwing in some awesomely low blows, verbally bitch-slapping his father and dead mother. Kelly ranted on her blog,

The moment after Kanye West skipped up on stage to give props to Beyonce during Taylor Swift’s VMA acceptance speech, he woke up and realized that his little antic made him seem like much less of a genius to the few fans that he still had left. In an effort to restore his geniusness, Kanye decided to post an all-caps bulletin on his blog, apologizing for his stupidity. Kanye wrote,
I’M SOOOOO SORRY TO TAYLOR SWIFT AND HER FANS AND HER MOM. I SPOKE TO HER MOTHER RIGHT AFTER AND SHE SAID THE SAME THING MY MOTHER WOULD’VE SAID. SHE IS VERY TALENTED! Kanye West hopped up on stage during Taylor Swift’s moment at the VMA’s tonight to give props to Beyonce for having “one of the best videos of all time”.
