Big word on the blogosphere today is that Ed Westwick is totally kissing a dude on the next season of Gossip Girl. Ed was reportedly spotted shooting the scene today, where he was forced to make out with actor Neal Bledsoe as part of the show’s storyline.
Apparently, the kiss is all part of Blair’s plan to convince Neal’s gay character Josh Ellis - NYU’s head of freshman affairs - to choose her to deliver the freshman speech.
Sources say that this will all do down on the season’s sixth episode.

Twilight and Miley Cyrus hoarded almost all the surfboards at last night’s event, with the stars of Twilight taking in 11 wins, and Miley snatching up 6.
Britney Spears got the Ultimate Choice Award, which was presented to her by none other than Miley Cyrus. The leftover surfboards were taken by Megan Fox, Zac Efron, and Gossip Girl.

Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick’s possibly gay relationship has sadly come to an end. US Weekly reported yesterday that the Gossip Girl co-stars finally parted ways after Chace got sick and tired of Ed’s failure to clean up after himself.
The two originally became roommates a few years ago when both were cast in the NY-based show. Chace spent his day yesterday moving himself out of his old Chelsea apartment, and into his new, clean luxury penthouse in the Financial District’s Dwell 95 building.

Insiders are reporting that the new Gossip Girl spinoff, starring Brittany Snow as young Lily van der Woodsen isn’t happening. The show was supposed to feature Lily partying in the 80’s in LA, but according to sources, the idea didn’t come across well with producers.
Next Monday’s episode of Gossip Girl will still include the flashback scenes involving Brittany, but they will no longer act as a starting point for the spinoff.

Gossip Girl spin-off rumors have been swirling for a few months now, and executive producers, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage have finally confirmed the news. The spin-off will follow the life of Serena’s mom, Lily Rhodes (her maiden name) in LA in the 80s, and a “backdoor pilot” will air as a Gossip Girl episode on May 11.
The new show will follow Lily as she moves in with her sister after a fight with her parents. She’s forced to go from an ultra rich lifestyle, down to the normal world, and ends up meeting Dan’s dad, Rufus Humphrey and getting pregnant with his baby.
The spin-off will feature new actors playing the current characters’ young selves, and its storylines will overlap with Gossip Girl drama.

Kelly Rutherford (Serena’s mom on Gossip Girl), filed for divorce last week from her husband of two years, Daniel Giersch, citing “irreconcilable differences”. Kelly is currently pregnant with Daniel’s kid, and the pair also have a 2-year-old son named Hermés, like the handbag.

The NY Post is reporting that Chace Crawford and Taylor Momsen were spotted making out at the Gossip Girl holiday party at Haven the other day.
In other news, E! is claiming that the former world’s most boring couple, Penn Badgley and Blake Lively are headed for splitsville after Blake was seen making out with some random guy at a NY club last Friday.
Penn and Blake were then spotted having their post-drunken-eff-up talk the following morning at Norma’s at Le Parker Meridien hotel, where both parties looked defeated and miserable.

Like, if you’re watching The Hills or 90210, all the backstabbing shapes the way we act. I mean, I love Blake [Lively]; she’s a wonderful friend of mine, but shows like Gossip Girl kind of condition us to be mean.

Leighton Meester was reportedly born while her mother was serving time in a Texas prison for helping to run a major drug ring. Oh, and it gets better. Meester’s dad, grandfather, and aunt have all also served time in federal prisons for dealing drugs.
Star Magazine is reporting that they have more trashalicious tales about Meester’s fam that they’ll publish in their Sept. 15 issue.
I’m under the impression that blooper reels are only interesting to the people who made the movie.
