A couple weeks ago, some sources were saying that Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal were through, but the couple’s reps denied the rumors.

Now, sources are saying again that the couple have called it quits. One person supposedly close to the pair told reporters today,

They needed time to figure it out and they were on different coasts. When they were finally together, they talked it out and decided they’re not going to be together anymore.

There are no other people involved. The relationship just ended. It just fizzled. But they also wanted to be careful and private about it because of Reese’s kids.

Despite the fact that they denied break-up rumors yesterday, Jake Gyllenhaal’s rep was spotted carrying two large packed bags out of Reese Witherspoon’s house, and driving away with them in her car.

According to sources, she then dropped the bags off at Jake’s house.

Sources close to the two however, claimed that the relationship had ended. No details were given about the reason for the supposed break-up.

Reese an Jake began dating sometime between 2007 and 2008 after Reese’s divorce from Ryan Phillippe.

Maggie Gyllenhaal and her longtime boyfriend, Peter Sarsgaard tied the knot in a small chapel in Brindisi Italy yesterday.

Guests at the event included Maggie’s brother Jake, his girlfriend Reese Witherspoon, and several other people, not important enough to mention here.

The pair have been dating for seven years, and have a 2.5-year-old daughter named Ramona together.

Star Magazine seems to think that Jake Gyllenhaal recently gave Reese Witherspoon that ole preliminary ball and chain.  They have a few sources that claim to have spotted Reese wearing a huge diamond ring on that particular finger upon arrival at an Avon commercial shoot.

Reese reportedly took the ring off soon after people noticed, and put the thing in her bag.  One source says,

It was gorgeous, and everyone noticed it right away, but she took it off as soon as she saw people staring. Reese stuffed it in her bag and didn’t put it on again the rest of the day.

There was already word out that she and Jake had gotten engaged, so the ring absolutely confirmed everybody’s suspicions.

She’s probably just playing with everyone’s heads.  Reese recently described her divorce to Ryan Phillippe as “very humiliating and very isolating”.  That marriage also left her with two little snot dispensers which some people like to call “kids”.  Doesn’t sound like much fun to do over again.

Jamie Foxx’s friends obviously had some debt to pay because all four of them appeared in Jamie’s new music video for his single, Blame It.  Jake Gyllenhaal, Ron Howard, and Forrest Whitaker all took the time to look like douches for the camera.  Samuel L. Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal’s parents Stephen and Naomi are broke, according to the couple’s divorce documents.

Naomi claims she’s asked Stephen to pay some of the bills, but says he’s refused to do it. Stephen has reportedly sent her an email saying,

I have been clear that if worse comes to worse, I will let all of this collapse into ruin, just as I believe letting the markets crash and burn [is] the right approach. Pain now for clarity and balance later.

Here’s a little suggestion, maybe you could just ask your kids for $$$? I’m sure Jake could probably spare a few bucks.
