Jim Carrey confirmed on his Twitter last night that his 22-year-old daughter Jane married her fiance Alex Santana earlier this month.
Jane, a singer-songwriter, heads up the Jane Carrey Band. Alex plays in the band Blood Money. The couple announced back in July that they were expecting their first baby together.
According to the National Enquirer, Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy were sort of married in Malibu recently. The couple held an informal commitment ceremony where they said their vows in front of family and friends. A source told reporters,
The vows basically said that they would ‘be forever in love’ with one another and that they would always be together. For the two of them, it was as good as a marriage ceremony.
[Jim] insists that he and Jenny are incredibly happy together, and they don’t want to jinx things by tying the knot. Jim says he doesn’t need a legal ceremony or a piece of paper, and Jenny feels the same.
The couple reportedly had their “honeymoon” in Las Vegas, where they stayed at the Fantasy Tower in the Sky Villa, and spent their time making out in public and playing Texas hold ‘em.
Update: Jim Carrey’s rep says the National Enquirer lies. Jim did not marry Jenny. Not even for pretend.
Jim Carrey decided to follow in Joaquin Phoenix’s successful footsteps by going all hip-hop on his own white ass. He was seen kickin’ it with 50 Cent at the VitaminWater party on his 47th birthday at Sundance.
