Katherine Heigl admitted earlier this month that she and her husband Josh Kelley were able to fast track the adoption of their daughter Naleigh because of her special needs.

Turns out, the kid was born with a hole in her heart, but there’s really nothing wrong with her anymore. Doctors performed emergency surgery on Naleigh about two months after her birth, and successfully corrected the life-threatening congenital heart defect. The 10-month-old is now reportedly doing well at home with her new parents.

Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelly released the first official photo of them with their 10-month-old adopted baby girl Naleigh today.

The couple brought Naleigh home from South Korea just a few days ago, and according to their rep, “Katherine, Josh and Naleigh are together and doing well”.

Katherine Heigl and her husband Josh Kelley reportedly brought their 10-month-old baby girl home last night. The couple adopted the baby named Naleigh from Korea after a six-month-long process.

Katherine, who married Josh in 2007, told Ellen earlier this year that she had always wanted to adopt since her parents had had a positive experience adopting her sister.

She is currently taking some time off of filming Grey’s Anatomy to settle in with the baby.

Katherine Heigl and her husband Josh Kelley have finally filed their official adoption papers to bring a 10-month-old Korean girl named Nayleigh into their home.

The actress who began the adoption process about six months ago, was just told today that she would be bringing home the baby by next Monday.

In Touch is confirming that Katherine Heigl and her husband Josh Kelley are working on adopting a Korean baby.  Katherine’s sister Meg was adopted from there more than 30 years ago, so she reportedly felt a cultural connection to the country.

Korean law says that a couple has to wait until they are married for three years before they can legally adopt a kid, so since they’re no Madonna and Guy, they’ll just need to wait it out.

Emmy Nominations were announced this morning. You can see the full list here. You will notice the absence of Katherine Heigl who won Best Supporting Actress last year for her role in Grey’s Anatomy. The deal is that she took herself out of the running last month because she thought her writers sucked, and her role this year wasn’t worthy of the award.

Apparently now it’s WAR! Us Weekly is now reporting that the Katherine’s Grey’s Anatomy writers are striking back. They’re considering giving her character a brain tumor. Us Weekly reports that a well-placed source says,

It’s their way of screwing with her. She won’t know whether she’s going to live or die.

Wow, her writers do suck. A brain tumor? Come on guys, you can do better than that!
