Mary-Kate Olsen’s rep confirmed today that the actress and her boyfriend Nate Lowman had split a while back. No further details were given.
The former couple met through friends and began dating in 2008. Last year, the rep shot down engagement rumors between the two. Mary-Kate is currently focusing on work, attending shows at London Fashion Week.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are coming out with yet another clothing line, and this time, it’ll supposedly an affordable one (kind of like their Walmart line, but for big kids). The new brand will be called “Olsenboye”, and it’ll be marketed towards juniors. Ashley said of the new collection,
Mary-Kate and I watch current trends and see our partnership with J.C. Penney as an opportunity to add something unique to the marketplace, especially in the current retail climate. Olsenboye is an extension of the Dualstar brand and we feel this collaboration complements and strengthens our business portfolio, delivering trend-based fashion at affordable prices.
The twins will begin marketing the brand on November 6, and 600 J.C. Penney stores will carry the styles starting in February.
The more fashionable half of the Olsen twins, Ashley dons a wig for the latest issue of V Man magazine. Yes, that’s the same quality publication that once featured Miley Cyrus’ older boyfriend grabbing his crotch.
Ashley appears in the mag to promote her new men’s clothing line, The Row.

Apparently Kiefer Sutherland doesn’t just play a badass on TV. The man better known as Jack Bauer supposedly broke designer Jack McCollough’s nose when he headbutted him after the Met red carpet last night. The fight reportedly had something to do with Brooke Shields.
Mary-Kate Olsen and Kirsten Dunst were both present to witness the event, and Jack was promptly taken to the hospital, where he is currently still recovering.
Update: Multiple sources who were present at the event in NYC yesterday are reporting that the incident began when Kiefer witnessed Jack knocking Brooke over at the Met Costume Gala. When Kiefer asked him to apologize, Jack refused. This allegedly prompted Kiefer to headbutt Jack, breaking his nose.
Kiefer, who is currently on probation for a DUI in LA is now looking at a possible probation violation for this incident. No word yet on whether or not charges will be brought against him.
Update #2: Brooke’s rep has just released a statement denying the entire story. The statement reads:
Nothing happened to her. Jack did nothing inappropriate. It’s not clear what caused Kiefer to do what he did.
Brooke will be giving an official statement to cops tomorrow.

The Olsen twin was in a car with a friend when they backed into an El Pollo Loco delivery car. No one was hurt, but Mary-Kate’s friend learned a valuable lesson about getting into accidents with a celebrity in her car. There’s no way you can try to pull a hit and run there.
Remember the Mary-Kate and Ashley TROLLSON twins masks that we had ordered from PETA a couple weeks ago? Well we got this email in our inbox (pictured above) recently that didn’t make us very happy.

Apparently, federal prosecutors have decided not to go ahead with the criminal investigation regarding where Heath Ledger got his OxyContin. According to a source, the feds didn’t think they had a “viable target”.
Since the feds aren’t pursuing the case, Olsen’s subpoena is no longer valid.
Damn.
Mary-Kate must be freaking out. OK! Magazine is reporting that the Olsen twin has been subpoenaed to appear before a Federal Grand Jury on April 23rd to answer questions about Heath Ledger’s death.
We had previously reported that Mary-Kate had been refusing to speak to the Feds without a deal in place to avoid prosecution.
Hey MK, better finish flushing that evidence, quick.
Update: MK’s lawyer Michael Miller has just released this statement,
Despite tabloid speculation, Mary-Kate Olsen had nothing whatsoever to do with the drugs found in Heath Ledger’s home or his body, and she does not know where he obtained them…Regarding the government’s investigation, at Ms. Olsen’s request, we have provided the government with relevant information including facts in the chronology of events surrounding Mr. Ledger’s death and the fact that Ms. Olsen does not know the source of the drugs Mr. Ledger consumed,” the statement from her attorney continues…We don’t know the source of the information being quoted in the media regarding the government’s inquiry, but these descriptions are incomplete and inaccurate.

The New York Post is reporting that unless she receives immunity from prosecution, Mary-Kate Olson is refusing to be interviewed by the FBI about the death of her friend Heath Ledger.
Sources say that Olsen’s lawyer Michael Miller has been working hard to keep the feds away, and officials could end up getting a grand-jury subpoena to force MK to tell them what she knows.
Apparently, a number of people connected to Ledger have been interviewed, and Olsen is the only one refusing to help.
Sources say Olsen’s refusal to speak could somehow be connected to the OxyContin, which was the only drug at the scene of Ledger’s death that was not obtained from a physician. A source says,
[Investigators] are trying to ID the source of the OxyContin. Did it come from a dealer, from a friend? If he had a bottle from a friend, was it taken by someone else before police responded? That is what is trying to be determined.
Looks like someone might be in trouble…
