Morgan Freeman has settled the lawsuit stemming from his car crash last year. Morgan’s passenger Demaris Meyer sued him in US District court in February, accusing him of negligent driving when he ran her 1997 Nissan Maxima off the side of a rural highway near his Mississippi home. The car flipped over several times before landing upright.
Settlement details were not disclosed, but according to Morgan’s lawyer, “we’re all glad it’s over with”.
We mentioned last month that Morgan Freeman had been banging his 27-year-old step-granddaughter E’Dena Hines for the last ten years or so. Morgan became close to the girl after years of raising her with his second wife Myrna.
Now, the National Enquirer is reporting that Morgan has decided to make things right (wrong?) by marrying the girl. The only thing holding them back is Morgan’s pending divorce with Myrna. According to people close to the Freeman family, both Morgan and E’Dena are in love and itching to make it official.
Apparently Morgan Freeman likes little girls. Rumor has it that the actor, who recently separated from his wife Myra, has been getting it on with his now 27-year-old step-granddaughter E’Dena Hines.
Morgan reportedly started coming on to E’Dena when she was a teenager, but she was able to successfully refrain from giving in to his sexiness for several years. When E’Dena was in her 20’s, however, she ended up in a hotel room with grampa, and just couldn’t say no anymore. The pair reportedly had sex, and E’Dena felt guilty and told Morgan’s wife Myra about it afterward.

Demaris Meyer, the “family friend” who was riding with Morgan Freeman the night of his serious car accident last year, filed papers today in Mississippi Federal Court, suing the actor for medical expenses, pain and suffering, permanent disability, and lost wages. She suffered a broken wrist, broken scapula, a torn labrum, and cuts and bruises after Morgan accidentally ran his car off the highway in August.
Demaris also held a press conference today, where she accused Morgan of drinking prior to the accident, and denied that the pair were having an affair. She claimed that Morgan invited her to stay at one of his homes after a night out having dinner and drinks with friends. Morgan, who assured Demaris that she would have the house to herself, was driving her to their destination when he lost control and ran his car off the road.
Morgan has yet to release a statement about the lawsuit.
According to Freeman’s business partner Bill Luckett, Morgan is heading home now, but will have to wear a neck brace for 6-8 months.

People Magazine is reporting that Morgan Freeman, who will be in surgery today or tomorrow for his injuries, is in good spirits and is expected to make a full recovery.
His rep, Donna Lee released the following statement,
He is going to have surgery this afternoon or tomorrow to correct the damage. He says he’ll be okay and is looking forward to a full recovery.Update: Freeman’s surgery to repair damage and reconnect nerves on his arm went without a hitch, and he is currently recovering and visiting with his family.
